
Work-Study Opportunities
Counselor Positions
- Counselors are paid a full stipend equivalent to their Tuition and Room & Board. (In the case of parents or guardians who serve as Counselor, a partial stipend equivalent to their student’s Tuition is paid.)
- Counselors are a critical part of the Meadowmount summer staff team and are considered seasonal staff first, and student second.
- In making the decision to apply for the Counselor position, students are encouraged to weigh the responsibilities and requirements of the position alongside artistic and learning goals for the summer.
- Counselors are assigned to Under-18 dorms and responsible for the safety and care of their assigned students at all times.
- In addition to working to build community in the dorms and creating a safe and welcoming environment, Counselors are expected to resolve a variety of issues with the support of Campus Life.
- During the afternoon and on weekends, Counselors are responsible for monitoring under-18 students and actively plan and lead activities and field trips.
- Between work and on-call hours, the Counselor position is considered full-time.
- Counselors must be 21 years of age or older.
- Counselors are asked to arrive on campus early for training. For 2026: June 14 through August 8.

Off-Campus Student Liaison
- The Off-Campus Liaison is paid a partial stipend equivalent to Room & Board which is provided as a credit prior to the start of the summer program.
- This position is responsible for helping off-campus students to connect and feel closer to campus activity and working with parents as a ‘counselor’, ensuring our youngest students are supervised and safe while on campus.
- This positions serves as a liaison between students, staff and parents, proactively working to resolve concerns, promoting clear communication and addressing any issues that arise.
- The Liaison serves as a staff representative for organized field trips and activities when off-campus students participate, as they are responsible for monitoring and communicating with those particular students.
- Estimated work / on-call hours per week: 25 hours
- The Off-Campus Liaison must be 18 years of age or older.
- The Off-Campus Liaison is asked to arrive on campus early for training. For 2026: June 16 through August 8.

Resident Assistants
- Resident Assistants are paid a partial stipend equivalent to Room & Board which is provided as a credit prior to the start of the summer program.
- Resident Assistants are an important part of the Meadowmount summer staff team.
- They are assigned to 18+ dorms and responsible for building community within the dorm and serving as the primary liaison between the Camp Office and the 18+ dorms.
- They are responsible for working proactively to resolve student concerns relating to their housing and life in the dorms.
- They also serve as a staff representative for organized field trips and activities.
- Estimated work / on-call hours per week: 25 hours
- Resident Assistants must be 20 years of age or older.
- Resident Assistants are asked to arrive on campus early for training. For 2026: June 16 through August 8.

Junior Counselors
- Junior Counselors are paid a partial stipend of $2,700 equivalent to 50% of tuition for 2026. This stipend is provided as a credit prior to the start of the summer program.
- Junior Counselors support Counselors within under-18 dorms on a day-to-day basis. They help to create community, facilitate dorm activities, and lend a hand to Counselors to support organization and dorm life. Counselors are assigned to under-18 dorms and responsible for building community within the dorm and serving as the primary liaison between the Camp Office and the 18+ dorms.
- This position is for students aged 16 and 17.

Service Award Students
Students age 16 and older may receive a Service Award of $1,000 which is reflected as a credit towards tuition balance prior to the start of the summer program. Service Award recipients are assigned a specific role and are an important part of the Meadowmount team. The expectation is that Service Award recipients will work an average of 10 hours a week for the 7 weeks of the program.
Service Award recipients are assigned a specific role to support in one of these work areas:
- Artistic Operations Support (Concert Support and/or Music Library/Viola Bank)
- Campus Life Support (Recreation, Student Supervision, Meadowmount Canteen, Main Office Support)
- Communications (Photography, Social Media, Concert Programs)
