(Late Applications will be considered if space is available.)
AUDITION MATERIALS
We require a 15-minute video of unedited solo works. It is suggested, but not required, that you play a first movement of a standard concerto, with or without accompaniment, and a movement of unaccompanied Bach. You may upload individual videos of your solo pieces or as one video.
We also require Chamber Music Excerpts to be recorded and uploaded, but on a separate video from your solo work. On the chamber music excerpts video please introduce yourself by stating your name, age and where you go to school or currently live. In a few sentences, also tell us about your chamber music experience. (See below for the required Chamber Music Excerpts.)
NOTE: Audio-only auditions will not be accepted. If submitting a performance with orchestra we only accept professional quality recordings, not cell phone video.
CHAMBER MUSIC EXCERPTS
Click your instrument below to print the excerpts. Please note that the excerpts are mandatory and must be uploaded as part of your audition.
Chamber music placement is based primarily on your chamber music excerpt video, which should represent your best performance of this material. The posted excerpts are relatively clean parts, your choices of fingerings and bowings reflect both your technical accomplishment and artistic imagination. It is of vital importance to listen to recordings of these works, as well as to consult your private teacher for help in preparation.
The excerpts must be uploaded on a separate video from your solo audition material. On the chamber music excerpts video please introduce yourself by stating your name, age and where you go to school or currently live. In a few sentences, also tell us about your chamber music experience. Then begin playing the excerpts.
