Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Meadowmount
Founded in 1944 by Ivan Galamian, the vision for Meadowmount has changed little over 80 years…
- create an environment for total immersion in the study of string instruments
- provide access to the highest standard of teaching and coaching
- remove any distractions or barriers to success
- and support students with natural talents grow into professional artists, performing and adding to the cultural vibrancy of communities across the United States and beyond.
Today, we are committed to providing equitable access to Meadowmount and to expanding recruitment efforts to invite, welcome, and train young musicians from all backgrounds and particularly from traditionally underrepresented communities across the United States. We are working to build a more diverse student body, faculty, staff, and Board leadership and understand that this focus will enrich and strengthen Meadowmount now and in the future. Through listening, learning, and participating in this work, we will grow as an organization. Together we are committed to expanding and developing initiatives and partnerships that will support and promote equity, diversity, and inclusion at Meadowmount.
