Summer Seasonal Positions

CAMP DIRECTOR

Under the Executive Director, this person is responsible for directing all camp personnel including medical staff, kitchen staff, counselors, and student workers, and is responsible for reporting to and compliance with the NY Department of Health and/or other State and Federal regulatory and accreditation agencies. Applicants should have a B.A., be 25+ years of age, have a valid driver’s license, must pass a background check, and have experience managing camp operations. HEAD NURSE/HEALTH DIRECTOR

This person will be responsible for overseeing the health program on campus including a three bed infirmary, ensuring the health and safety of all campers and staff throughout the summer. This position reports to the Camp Director.

Applicants should be a RN or LPN currently licensed in New York State with First Aid/CPR/AED certification. This person must be comfortable working within New York State requirements for a summer camp health professional, and have experience working with patients 13-30 years old. They should work well under pressure and have the ability to interact with staff, parents, and students. Candidates must be personable, flexible, hard workers, team players, and have a strong desire to create a positive, safe, and healthy environment for students and staff alike. Accommodations include a private room, three meals per day, housekeeping and laundry service. Meadowmount will cover the cost of a NY State Nursing License for those already qualified in other states, for accepted applicants who apply before March 15. CAMP NURSE (RELIEF POSITION)

This person will support the Head Nurse by providing intermittent per diem relief, overseeing a three-bedroom infirmary and the health and wellbeing of campers and staff. A New York State license is required along with CPR for the Professional Rescuer and ARC Responding to Emergency training. This is a part-time, relief position that is live-in. Accommodations include a private room, three meals per day, housekeeping, and laundry service.

HOUSEKEEPING

Seasonal full-time positions for experienced housekeepers. Duties include maintaining the cleanliness of faculty housing, student dormitories, bathrooms, administration offices, teaching studios, entryways and common areas. This positions begins in late May and work continues into early fall with the shutting down of facilities. Starting salary is $17/hour.

KITCHEN STAFF

Kitchen Staff full- and part-time positions are available. Skills in the kitchen are preferred, but not required. This positions begins in late May and runs through the end of the summer program.
