Friends of Meadowmount
For more than 80 years, Meadowmount has been America’s most respected and beloved summer home for rising generations of violinists, violist, and cellists.
Friends of Meadowmount make an annual contribution to ensure that Meadowmount continues as a vibrant summer program for the development of highest level of string playing and brings excellent arts programming and free concerts to upstate New York. For generations, Meadowmount has been a respected cultural organization in Essex County, NY and an economic contributor to the region attracting artists, students, visitors, and employing local seasonal workers.
Why we need your support…
Meadowmount needs support from individuals and partners. Like all cultural and education institutions across this country, Meadowmount can only be sustained and thrive with contributed financial support from individuals.
“My summers as a student at Meadowmount were, without question, a turning point in my musical development and among the happiest times of my life. I cannot think of a more inspiring place for young musicians to learn, grow, and explore their musical horizons.” – James Ehnes, violinist, Meadowmount alum, and Board Director

- Care for the historic Meadowmount buildings and grounds.
- Bringing leading faculty and guest artists to support the artistic growth of Meadowmount students.
